Dhanush Electricals started in 1995 as a single counter on R.T. Street in Chickpet — the same shop, the same family, and (mostly) the same questions from customers thirty years later: "Which switch is genuine?" "Will this wire last?" "What does my home actually need?"
How we got here
Chickpet has been Bangalore's electrical hub for a century. When we opened in 1995, the market was crowded with shops selling whatever they could source — branded, unbranded, sometimes counterfeit. We decided early on that we'd carry only authorised stock, no exceptions. It cost us margin in the short term and built our reputation in the long term.
Today, we hold authorised dealership certificates for 25+ brands — Panasonic, GM Modular, Legrand, Havells, Polycab, Finolex, Crompton, Atomberg, and more. Every product on our shelves came directly from the manufacturer. Every warranty card we issue, the brand honours.
What we stand for
We're not the cheapest shop in Chickpet. We don't aspire to be. What we are is the shop that tells you when the cheaper option is actually fine for your use case, and the shop that tells you when spending more genuinely matters (kitchen wiring, geyser circuits, your kids' bedroom switches).
We've supplied wiring for hundreds of Bangalore homes, modular switchboards for thousands more, and ceiling fans for entire residential projects. Many of our customers are now bringing in their children to fit out their first homes. That's the kind of trust we've worked for.
